WIN - THERE goes stateside with the new global HQ for Uber.

We are excited to announce that we are working with Uber on the development of their new global headquarters in San Francisco, USA.

Following an international search, THERE have been engaged to create a comprehensive wayfinding and placemaking package for a new workplace campus comprising 4 buildings, totalling over 1 million sqft, in the Mission Bay district of the city.

The campus is designed to connect to the city around it and will share public plaza space with Uber's neighbour, the Golden State Warriors new basketball stadium.

Working alongside US interior design firms Huntsman and RMW, as well as Uber's own in-house teams, our scope will see us deliver a campus-wide wayfinding system alongside environmental graphics and placemaking installations to help activate the workplace and build on the recent company rebrand.

The new address marks an exciting new era for the global ride-share company. In a short time they’ve grown from being a start-up disruptor, to global infrastructure influencer. The campus provides them with a mature, centralised space to inspire employees, wow visitors and connect with the local community.

The project also marks a milestone for THERE as a our first major project in the US and builds on the success of our studios in Sydney and Singapore, with extensive experience working across Australia and South East Asia, further expanding our global offer.

Finding your way in The Great Room

People nowadays want flexibility in a workspace, and in today’s startup culture, companies are fast-growing. The coworking market in Asia has been described as booming, with growth in the region outpacing the global average.

Known for their hospitality-inspired design, drawing inspiration from the best hotel lobbies, The Great Room (TGR) create beautiful and highly functional spaces that are conducive for ideas and innovation to thrive. The flattering lighting, decor, rich colour palette and furnishings make you feel you are somewhere special.

The Great Room @ Centennial Tower – located in Singapore's CBC, occupying 36,000 sqft over 2 floors – dares to be bold with the juxtaposition of raw and refined materials: cool marbles, gleaming metallic surfaces, rich timbers and graphic stone pattern on the floor.

THERE were commissioned to create a signage and wayfinding solution that would compliment this elevated design aesthetic and lend itself to the ideals of quiet discussion, study and moments of thought, appreciated by TGR's members that include high-value entrepreneurs, leading corporates and grown-up startups that work in the technology, finance and creative industries.
