THERE announces opening of Singapore studio
Following a huge year for THERE and with a recent haul of 8 AGDA awards, THERE's co-founder Simon Hancock, has moved to Singapore to drive the growth of THERE's offer and services in the Asia-Pacific region.

After successfully completing a number of projects for established international organisations operating in the region, such as Macquarie Group, ANZ and Boston Consulting Group, more and more opportunities are now starting to present themselves in emerging markets and with emerging market brands.

“We've enjoyed great creative success at the recent AGDA awards, and together with our existing working relationships with many leading architects and interior designers operating in the area, we're confident the Singapore presence will see positive returns for our clients and the business in no time.” explains Simon.

Singapore was chosen as our Asian home due its ideal location and  proximity to so many active Asian hubs that are experiencing real growth, and with Simon in place, we are very excited about the potential to help Asian companies build global brands.

IndesignLive have covered the announcement, and can be read online here.

THERE feature in SEGD Publication

Our branded environment work for 3M is featured in EG Magazine, published by SEGD - the international association for  environmental graphic design.

We were chuffed to see our branded workplace for 3M be so prominently featured in Eg magazine – the international journal of the Society for Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD). The article looks at how forward thinking Australian businesses are creating workplaces for a new age and cites our work for 3M as a great example of how branding and wayfinding systems can provide human-centered, inspiring places to work while supporting environmental initiatives and the bottom line.

ASICS FDC Construction Awards Win

Great to see our award winning branded environment for ASICS featured in today’s Sydney Morning Herald. Congrats to the guys at FDC Construction for taking out top prize in the Master Builders Association Construction Awards in the Industrial Buildings $10-$20million category. One of the judges commented, “Most people who visit love it because they don’t expect to see something so extravagant and at such a grade-A level”. The win follows THERE’s win in the worldwide SEGD Awards for Branded Environment graphics.

THERE + ASICS + WMK = SEGD

THERE wins SEGD Merit Award for ASICS.

There were some hi-fives and congratulatory cheers filtering around the studio when we were advised by prestigious international awards body, the Society of Environmental Graphic Designers (SEGD) that our work for ASICS Australia’s new headquarters had been recognised with a Merit Award. Here’s what the Judges had to say:

“One trend that seems prevalent in our profession is that designers will take a stock image, enlarge it on a wall, and believe it is good graphic design. What captured our attention with this project was not simply the use of large imagery, but the successful layering of information that, together with the imagery, made this a meaningful composition appropriate for an athletic company headquarters. It goes beyond the expected.”

We’re quite chuffed with the recognition, and very much agree with the distinguished juror’s comments. It’s quite easy to ‘decorate’ a space with environmental graphics, but THERE’s signature approach of creating Branded Environments goes a step further, with layers of information and visuals that engage, inspire and inform an organisation’s internal culture — all guided by a rigorous understanding of a client’s brand.

Justus & THERE

THERE were invited to be featured in Justus Magazine – an invitation only industry magazine that showcases the best of Australian agencies and stand-out talent.

Taking the common unity that is design and forging a community of print designers, studios, suppliers and students of design, this quarterly journal goes out to a limited number who have been personally invited to subscribe to and showcase their work.

The launch of Issue 3 was a huge success, with both industry peers and designers attending in hordes, indulging in the flowing bubbles and being the very first to delve into this beautifully produced publication.

Thanks to Larissa and her team at Justus for a job well done… Keep up the good work!
