Where George meets Margaret

THERE worked closely with the management and ownership teams of Sydney's Met Centre in rethinking their brand positioning, identity and signage - Beginning with a strategic review and stakeholder workshops, we transformed the MetCentre brand, updating it for the discerning Sydney CBD retail market.

Located in the north-west of Sydney’s bustling CBD the MetCentre boasts a wide choice of fashion, food and everyday convenience.

THERE worked closely with the management and ownership teams of Sydney's Met Centre in rethinking their brand positioning, identity and signage -Beginning with a strategic review and stakeholder workshops, we transformed the MetCentre brand, updating it for the discerning Sydney CBD retail market.

We based the brand idea on the compelling thought of ‘transforming everyday’ to capture this diversity in a compelling manner. Key to the new effort was a hero brand image, sub category images and updated identity. This new brand toolkit was rolled out across in centre and external signage, online and press marketing, website and directory maps.

PANTONE unveils its 2015 Color of the Year

PANTONE has unveiled its 2015 Color of the Year: PANTONE 18-1438 Marsala.

Described as a “naturally robust and earthy red”, the rich wine hue is meant to embody “the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal” and emanates “a sophisticated, natural earthiness”.

“This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of PANTONE Color Institute.

Marsala takes over from this year’s color, Radiant Orchid

To launch Marsala, PANTONE created a collection of images centered around friends coming together over food and drinks. Audiences are shown how the color is tastefully and elegantly incorporated into the setting, as the party moves through the various courses from appetizers to dessert.

I look forward to seeing this wholesome colour permeate through THERE designs sometime soon.

THERE launches street presence for 333 George

THERE ignites a vision for Charter Hall's Sydney CBD flagship commercial & retail development through their hoarding

Located on one of Sydney CBD’s most prominent corners, at the heart of George Street and Martin Place, 333 George Street is a to be a new distinct work environment unlike anything else in the CBD. It is curretnly being built and will be owned by Charter Hall.

Designed by international architects, Grimshaw and Crone Partners, 333 George Street offer 15 levels of contemporary office space across 12,500sqm and three levels of statement retail across 2,100sqm with extensive frontage to George Street, creating a flagship retail destination.

The defining feature is its five levels of cascading rooftop terraces, set within a fully glazed veil overlooking the main thoroughfare of Sydney’s business and lifestyle epicentre.

THERE was approached to assist with the design of their new high-exposure hoarding. The brief was to create a unique, and engaging hoarding to create a sense of intrigue and interest.

Over a few months THERE worked closely with Charter Hall to develop an elegant and sophisticated high-end design outcome.

The design process saw us fuse both premium gloss & matt finishes, reflective materials to create a gloss-patterned facade, and included reflective typography and impactful  extruded built-form logo.

Just installed, the result was amazing. A very happy Client.

THERE welcomes The Dubai Mall as client

THERE is excited to have been successfully appointed to work on substantial signage masterplan upgrades for The Dubai Mall.

The Dubai Mall is the largest mall in the world by total area. As the name suggests it is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is part of the 20-billion-dollar Downtown complex, made up of over 1,200 shops.

In 2011 it was the most visited building on the planet, attracting over 34 million visitors.

THERE have been appointed to partner the client in undertaking masterplanning, signage audit and signage hierarchy extension across some newly built retail mall wings.

On the back of a strong client relationship THERE have also recently won a much larger signage project – more on that exciting news soon. Watch this space.

Funan makes the news

A recent milestone project win for THERE is formally announced in the national press. Read more.

Funan makes the news

The redevelopment of the iconic mall – Funan, located in Singapore, is featured in the national newspaper, TODAY. The article describes how the development will reinvent the regional retail scene, turning the once tech hub into a live-work-play mall.

The $560million integrated development with a GFA of 887,000sqf will see the creation of an experiential creative hub in the commercial heart of Singapore.

Along with two six story office towers and a nine story tower of co-living apartments, the main six story retail mall sets out to challenge preconceptions of what a mall should be with features such as a 4,000sqf urban farm, indoor climbing walls and a bike lane that will allow cyclists to ride right through the building.

THERE will be responsible for creating all internal/external signage and wayfinding, along with defining the brand experience throughout the built environment aided by a series of placemaking initiatives.
