A Grand Surprise

Usually we’re happy with a nod of approval or a simple ‘Thank you’ email, so you can imagine our surprise and delight when a lovely gift, completely unexpected but very appreciated, was delivered yesterday. It’s prompted us to reflect and mention something we never forget, but perhaps could say more often; To our clients, thank you. Without you, There would be nowhere.

Fresh Print

What’s case bound, about 140 pages and got bronze guilded edges!? To say we’re chuffed with our latest work for Ontera would be a bit of an understatement. The client too was pretty happy - it’s not often you hear a client throw around words like “superb” or “mind blowing” - but the superlatives were flying thick and fast when we took delivery of some advance copies. We can’t show you too much just yet, but we will be showing an extensive feature on this project very soon. Keep em peeled!

Update

We were up on the not-so-sunny Sunshine Coast yesterday conducting a signage planning site visit for the first of an exciting new boutique luxury hotel chain who we’re currently helping with all aspects of their branding. Watch this space as we keep you up to to date with the progress of this extensive project.

10 out of 10

Stylecraft & Arper 10/10 Collateral
We were briefed on helping Stylecraft launch 10 new furniture products from renowned Italian furniture maker Arper whilst also celebrating their 10yr business partnership. This was Stylecraft’s biggest product launch to date. To support the travelling roadshow of breakfasts, lunches and cocktail evenings which we designed for the design industry and showcased here – we produced all marketing collateral, including the identity, posters, DVDs and badges.

Style on Show

Stylecraft & Arper Celebrate 10yrs
We were asked to develop ideas to help Stylecraft celebrate their 10th successful year in partnership with Italian furniture supplier Arper. A comprehensive and engaging customer experience was required to promote and accompany a series of seminal showcase events at each of Stylecraft’s showrooms in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane Canberra and Adelaide.

By evolving Stylecraft’s branding we created the event identity and a circular design language that informed all promotional collateral and POS display items. Each Arper product was represented by a striking colour which was integrated throughout, from external signage and interior display to banners, posters, invitations, badges and DVD packs. The events, aimed at an A&D audience, have seen outstanding attendance and generated high interest, raising Stylecraft’s profile even further within the industry.

Amazed by Milan

We had a bit of fun with this recent e-invite for the Design Institute of Australia’s annual Milan Furniture Fair Review.

Interactive Greeting

Mac Interactive Business Cards
We’re always excited when the printer delivery man comes through our door with a box of ‘fresh from the press’ goodies. The design of these slick business cards for Mac Interactive architects, stems from the much lauded 10yr anniversary book we produced for them previously.

Linear Interaction

SAP Sydney Office Fit-out
As the world’s leading provider of business software solutions for customers in more than 120 countries, SAP required a dynamic and professional graphic impression for their new Australian headquarters that would reflect how they help accelerate business innovation.

Working with renown interior designers Geyer, we created a precise, linear design language that imbued a sense of energy and innovation. It also created a synergy over the 4 floors that broke down barriers between departments and encouraged social interaction.

Wilson on the wharf

Wilson are an independent project management specialist offering a ‘different approach’ to commercial project management. Avoiding the typical bluster and bravado of their industry, they offer a more calm and professional approach.

As part of the wider brand identity roll-out, THERE was asked for our expertise in branding environments for their new harbourside offices. Central to our response was the creation of an emotive and engaging graphic feature wall running the entire length of the studio, accompanied by on-screen animations and entrance signage for the office reception. Inside, Indesign, in style

Stylecraft Advertsing
We’ve been working with Stylecraft for quite some time, and above are some of our recent advertising campaigns for them. The key focus being their 200+ GECA approved products and also promoting their 100% original furniture, not the imitations of some of their competitors. Also see some of our other work for Stylecraft, like their brand development and their festive card.

Further work for Carnival
Following the successful branded environment we created for Carnival Australia’s new HQ, we were invited back to design a 20m long graphic feature wall showcasing all the cruise ships’ various entertainment.

A look Inside

La Luna featured in this months Inside Magazine
Nice surprise to see La Luna, the boutique fashion store which we branded and created all shop graphics for, featured in this months issue of Inside Magazine. Thanks to Matthew Sheargold from Sheargold Interiors for the kind words!

Welcome Aboard

Carnival Australia Branded Environment
We’ve just completed a major branded office fit-out for Carnival Australia – the global cruise company with a portfolio of distinct brands such as Cunard, P&O and Seabourn. Working with Watermark Interiors, an integrated graphical language was created that portrayed the many great aspects of not just cruising, travel and life on the sea but also the considerable heritage of the Carnival brands. The project involved developing a different theme – specific for each of the 3 operational floors and lobby entrance, over the 6,100sqm space in North Sydney.

Sign of the Times

MLC Centre Retail Signage
As part of a major signage overhaul at the iconic Harry Seidler designed CBD tower, we have just created these sophisticated updateable blade wayfinding signs. The high gloss black with bright orange infill signs, are the first stage of a signage system that will see the previous tired and dated system replaced with one that more closely reflects the Centre’s contemporary retail offer.

A Bright Outlook

Stylecraft Xmas Card
Continuing our brand extension work with Stylecraft, are these fresh-from-the-press seasonal cards. Given the economic softening this year, this concertina design with metallics and bright magenta overprinting, focused more on the idea of a positive year ahead rather than reflecting on the past year.

Twice as Nice

SJB Projects 02
Following the great success of Projects 01 for SJB’s Sydney office, Melbourne asked us to repeat the formula for them with the next issue of this visual profile of the studio’s recent key projects. Format and overall aesthetic were kept consistent but the use of a solid black and silver foil stamp cover, together with discipline divider pages cut to half size, gave the Melbourne studio their own distinctive look.

Circular Motion

Stylecraft Brand Refresh
Asked to liven up the existing brand identity collateral with a bit of fun for this renown contemporary furniture retailer – we created an engaging, flexible brand extension system. Taking the existing circular symbol from their well known logo as a starting point, we created a library of complimentary geometric graphics that more closely reflects the company’s brand personality.

Profiles of Success

Ontera Collections Annual
This beautiful showcase features a foil stamped blind embossed cover and shows over forty Ontera modular carpet installations in Australia & New Zealand. The case studies were divided into different industry sectors and show the endless creative possibilities created by leading architects and interior designers.

VIP Treatment

Watermark Architecture & Interiors Blackmores VIP Tour Series
Watermark asked us to help them create a VIP branded event for their inaugural Architectural Tour Series. The tour of the just completed new sustainable landmark headquarters for healthcare giant Blackmores required a host of support material. We designed a simplistic grid layout system that evolved across all the collateral, including bags, lanyards, brochures and foiled invitations.
